Making an Owl Habitat

Fun Facts to Share
  • A habitat is the natural place where an animal, people, and plants live.
  • The snowy owl's habitat is cold arctic region.
  • The snowy owl build its next on the ground.
  • A baby owl is called an owlet.

Build a Nest
  1. Allow Children to tear brown construction paper into tiny pieces.
  2. Put pieces of paper and other sticks or nature items in a large plastic container or basket.
  3. Put basket on the floor.

Owlets
  1. Use construction paper to cut out ovals. 
  2. Give each child an oval and invite them to color and create a little baby owl.
  3. Play with the owlets in the nest.
